About 6 times more antioxidant than blueberries!? | The amazing antioxidant power of ginger lily

Hello.
No foundation, Milobina, and Manager Nonko are always welcome.

This time, as with last time, I'll introduce another amazing herb I encountered.

I wanted to share even more surprises about "Gettou" (ginger lily), so I'm presenting the third installment out of 12.

So, please stay with us until the end this time as well.

Blueberries are the leading source of high antioxidant power.

As you all know, a major cause of our aging is oxidation.

Oxidation has various negative effects, including not only aging of the skin and body, but also an increased risk of dementia, arteriosclerosis, and cancer.

That's where herbs and supplements rich in antioxidants come in handy.

When it comes to antioxidants, red wine is famous, isn't it?

Blueberries contain one to two times the amount of antioxidants found in red wine. They are now considered one of the top sources of antioxidants.

I'm currently staying in Sakuho Town, Nagano Prefecture, and since blueberries are in season here, they're even selling fresh blueberries at the roadside station.

Blueberries are gaining attention because their benefits for skin and eyes have become widely known.

I also bought some large, impressive ones, but I found the tartness to be more prominent than the sweetness, so I've been incorporating them into my smoothies every morning.

I do think that I might be able to see things a little more clearly in the distance.

The antioxidant power of ginger lily is truly amazing!

Anyway, I've strayed a bit from the topic, but there's a plant with antioxidant power that surpasses even blueberries, which boast such incredible antioxidant properties: ginger lily!

In numbers, it looks like this.

Alpinia zerumbet: Approximately 1,630 mg per 100g (about 6 times more than blueberries, and about 7 times more than the approximately 230 mg per 100ml of red wine)
Blueberries: Approximately 250-470 mg per 100g

To withstand Okinawa's intense ultraviolet rays, ginger lily stores up to the maximum amount of self-protective components, boasting an unparalleled antioxidant power in the plant kingdom.

The ginger lily is truly formidable...

Furthermore, there are different types of polyphenols, and the polyphenol found in blueberries is, as you may know, anthocyanin. It is good for the eyes, has a whitening effect, and helps the function of vitamin C.

Furthermore, anthocyanins don't so much lighten existing blemishes as they work to prevent new ones from forming.

On the other hand, the polyphenols in Alpinia zerumbet are flavonoids.

The greatest strength of ginger lily leaves is that they contain not just one type, but a blend of many different types of polyphenols (flavonoids).

Catechin
Epicatechin
Rutin
Ferulic acid

Because these components work together as a team, they can perform multiple functions, such as preventing blemishes and eliminating existing ones.

Furthermore, it is also involved in collagen production, and the antioxidant power of the polyphenols in ginger lily is exceptional compared to other herbs.

My recommendation is,

Enjoy the blueberries and prevent oxidation.
Getto (ginger lily) is used to make getto tea and is also applied directly to the skin as a cosmetic.

In conclusion, let's use both effectively to prevent oxidation from both the inside and outside, and stay beautiful and healthy forever.

is!
