Hello.
No foundation, Milobina, and Manager Nonko are always welcome.
This time, as with last time, I'll introduce another amazing herb I encountered.
I wanted to share even more surprises about "Gettou" (ginger lily), so I'm presenting the sixth episode out of a total of 12.
So, please stay with us until the end this time as well.
Where are the double eyelids? Did I bump them? They're so swollen.
Since I discovered this ginger lily water, I've found it helpful whenever my skin becomes rough, my face looks dull or tired, or when my young son suddenly gets itchy hives, or when he falls and scrapes his knees, etc.
In our household, its versatility made it an indispensable item, but about a year or two ago, I discovered another amazing rescue power of ginger lily water.
That's a solution for swollen eyes after crying!
I'm someone who's incredibly strong-willed, yet I cry very easily.
Especially as I've gotten older, I tend to cry more easily from being moved or sad, rather than from the frustration I felt as a child.
Being easily moved to tears is a little embarrassing, but it's not really a big problem. However, when I cry, my eyes get really swollen.
If it just makes the double eyelids look a little puffy, that's still okay.
In my case, my eyelids swell up so much that you wonder, "Where are my double eyelids? Did I bump them?"
Be careful the morning after you've cried your eyes out watching a movie or TV show!!
If I don't do anything, the next morning people will inevitably ask, "Where are your double eyelids? Did you get hit?"
For some reason, the swelling has gotten worse lately. Even just a little crying can make my eyelids bulge out, and I'm shocked the next morning!
Even chilling it didn't work...!
I've heard that "cooling is good" for swollen eyes, but simply soaking a towel in cold water doesn't seem to help at all.
I would wet a towel and freeze it, or wrap ice in a towel and place it over my eyes, then lie on the sofa for a while to cool them down.
This method does reduce the symptoms to some extent, but sometimes it has almost no effect. I tried various things like repeatedly applying cold and heat, but it never completely subsided, and I was actually struggling with it quite a bit.
But one day, I suddenly remembered how amazing the tightening effect of ginger lily water is, so I soaked a cotton ball in plenty of ginger lily water, placed it over my eyes, lay down on the sofa, and zoned out for about 5 minutes. When I removed the cotton ball,
It feels strange. My eyelids feel unusually light.
"No way," I thought, but then I looked in the mirror and was shocked!
The swelling in my eyelids had almost completely subsided!
I had been struggling quite a bit up until then, so I honestly couldn't believe that simply using a lotion pack and eye pack made from ginger lily water would reduce the swelling so much, without using ice or heating anything.
Getto water helps to brighten your eyes.
Since I was in middle school, my eyelids have been prone to swelling, and often my eyelids would feel heavy in the morning, even when I hadn't been crying.
I still remember vividly that, because I was extremely nearsighted, I always sat in the front row, and one morning my homeroom teacher would ask me, "Hirotaki (maiden name), what's wrong? Did you cry yesterday?" (laughs)
I remember being shocked, thinking, "What?! I came to school with such puffy eyes?"
Looking back now, I think it might have been because I was sleeping on my stomach, but I also think I have a constitution that makes my eyelids swell more easily than most people.
I fight with him and cry, then the next morning it's "boom."
I would fight with my parents, cry, and then the next morning I'd hear "boom."
I was moved by the book and the next morning I heard "Born".
When my pet cat died, I would say "boom" every morning for a month.
You know... for someone like me with such extreme mood swings, this "eyelid problem" was a pretty big deal.
To elaborate a bit more on my puffy eyes, the only redeeming feature of my face is my eyes.
So, I really wanted to make my eyes look brighter, but most days my eyelids feel heavy, so having brighter, more open eyes was a very strong desire for me.
When I was in my twenties and still working as a beauty consultant, Albion, another company, released a "gel to refresh the eyelids," and I jumped at the chance to buy it. I remember my chief at the time, who was always very outspoken, being astonished and saying, "Are you still saying things like that?" (laughs)
Even in my 50s, I still feel that the degree of swelling in my eyelids makes a big difference to how I look in photos, so I'm still quite conscious of it. But ever since I discovered this ginger lily water eye pack, I've felt much more at ease.
Swelling can sometimes be caused by poor circulation due to stiff shoulders, neck, and arms from excessive computer use.
Lately, I've been putting more effort into taking care of those things, so I don't wake up feeling as bloated as before, but even now, ginger lily water eye packs and lotion packs are like my lucky charms.
Do you also have any reliable methods like that? If so, please let me know.
