Things I realized again after writing episode 12
Initially, my motivation was, "I want more people to know about the ginger lily, which I love so much."
That's how I started this series.
But now that I've finished writing episode 12, I realize once again that I myself...
"I realized that ginger lily is a truly amazing plant."
This led to a rediscovery.
Getto water for use on the skin.
Essential oil.
tea.
Insect control.
And it's something that has been cherished in Okinawan life since ancient times.
Behind this lies the inherent strength of the ginger lily itself, which thrives under Okinawa's strong sun and in its natural environment, and the people who carefully cultivate it and turn it into products.
This experience has made me realize once again that my love for ginger lily isn't simply because "it's good for skincare."
