Alpinia zerumbet essential oil is exceptional | A rare essential oil that condenses the power of Alpinia zerumbet.

Hello.

No foundation, Milobina, and Manager Nonko are always welcome.

Continuing from last time, I would like to share even more surprising facts about the amazing herb I encountered, "Getto" (Alpinia zerumbet), and this is the 10th installment out of 12.

So, please stay with us until the end this time as well.

Did you know that ginger lily also has essential oils?

"Essential oils smell great, but hydrosols smell completely different!"

Have you ever had an experience like that?

I bought lavender water at a shop in a lavender field while traveling.

I was excited to try it out at home,

"What's this? Hay?"

Something like that. This is based on my own experience.

So, my personal ranking of "completely different scents!" goes to lavender as number one.

In second place is chamomile!

In third place is... well, it's quite common for essential oils and hydrosols (herbal waters; ginger lily water is also a hydrosol) to have completely different scents.

Even if the effects and benefits are similar, when it comes to aromatic hydrosols, the components they contain differ (water-soluble vs. fat-soluble), so it's common for the resulting scent to be different from what you expected.

However, when it comes to ginger lily, the aromatic hydrosol (herbal water, ginger lily water) also has a scent that truly evokes the image of ginger lily.

This is just my personal opinion, but

Getto essential oil has a more concentrated scent than getto water, with enhanced floral notes and a sweet, cinnamon-like spiciness.

It could be said that it has a more noble and elegant fragrance than ginger lily water.

The effects of ginger lily are concentrated into a single product.

While ginger lily essential oil has such a captivating fragrance, I personally feel it has even more beneficial effects than ginger lily water.

What I remember most vividly is when I used it for skincare.

I once had some of my staff try mixing ginger lily essential oil into their existing skincare products as a trial.

As a result, the skin of the staff member who used it seemed to become smoother, firmer, and noticeably brighter.

Up until then, I had known a lot about ginger lily essential oil, but when I actually witnessed the changes in my skin, I remember being surprised and moved by the potential of aromatherapy and essential oils all over again.

Caution is needed when using essential oils.

While essential oils are highly effective, they require careful use.

No matter how effective it may be, you should avoid using it in high concentrations.

The undiluted solution is especially dangerous.

Essential oils are extracted from herbs and contain highly concentrated aromatic compounds from plants.

Although it is derived from nature, it is not in its natural state.

Anything, including medicine, can be harmful if consumed in excess of the appropriate amount.

For example, Botox is made by thoroughly diluting botulinum toxin, which is highly toxic, and using it in very small amounts for medical purposes, right?

While essential oils aren't inherently toxic, their high concentration of plant-based compounds means that overuse can cause adverse effects such as irritation.

In countries like France, there are medicines that use essential oils as their active ingredient.

That's how much of an impact it has on the human body.

As a side note, you should also be careful about artificial fragrances.

Repeated exposure to large amounts of fragrance components may lead to irritation or allergies in some individuals.

And the same applies to essential oils.

No matter how high-quality and natural a product is, continued use at high concentrations can lead to skin irritation and allergies.

Essential oils, in particular, can cause sensitization through repeated contact, eventually leading to allergic contact dermatitis.

Some manufacturers claim that their products are of high quality and can be used undiluted without problems, or even that they are more effective, but I think it's best to avoid using them undiluted.

Whether for skincare or adding to bathwater, 3 to 5 drops are sufficient at very low concentrations.

Alpinia zerumbet essential oil, in particular, is quite expensive, though not as expensive as rose oil, because the amount extracted is very small and therefore precious.

Getto essential oil is so precious. I hope you can use it carefully and skillfully to bring beauty and moisture to your daily life.

I also use it by adding a small amount to the oils I normally have on hand.

Lately, I've been enjoying a refreshing scent by combining ginger lily essential oil with rosemary and lavender, which are beneficial for aging skin.
