I want to stop wearing foundation, but I can't | The honest feelings of a 57-year-old store manager who doesn't wear foundation.

Hello.
No foundation, Milobina, and Manager Nonko are always welcome.

My childhood friend asked me, "Are you doing cosmetic surgery?"
This is the fourth installment in a series in which I share various insights gained from that experience.

Please watch until the very end this time as well.

The beauty of your skin is determined by how light reflects off it.

Last time, I talked about how continuing to go without foundation has, in my case, contributed to anti-aging (aging care).

But, as I mentioned briefly last time, giving up foundation is surprisingly difficult for women, isn't it?

The role of foundation is to smooth and even out the skin's complexion.

Now, let me explain a little about beautiful skin using eggs as an example.

The condition of your skin is easily understood by comparing a boiled egg to its shell.

Eggshells feel dry and slightly rough to the touch, right?

On the other hand, a hard-boiled egg is moist, and its surface is smooth and uniform.

This is due to the difference in how light reflects.

Moisturized skin has a smooth texture and is plump because it contains moisture.

When the skin has plump, smooth texture, the gaps between the textures disappear, making it smooth.

Conversely, if the skin is dry or has poor metabolism, gaps can form between the pores, creating shadows and disrupting the arrangement of the pores.

This causes light to scatter irregularly when it hits your skin, making it appear dull or blemish.

Foundation is a wonderful product that evens out uneven skin tone and transforms diffuse reflection into uniform reflection.

The UV protection supplements I've been using

The skin, especially the face, is an organ that clearly reflects the state of one's mind and body. The skin of women, who are particularly delicate and often go through stressful times in their busy lives, tends to become uneven in texture, dull, and prone to blemishes.

At times like these, foundation, which beautifully evens out your complexion with diffuse reflection in just one application, is something you simply can't give up, no matter how much effort it takes or how bad it might be for your skin.

I, too, now go by "Nonko, the store manager who doesn't wear foundation."

I'm saying this so casually, but I really did go through a lot of internal struggle before I actually quit.

Looking in the car's rearview mirror almost broke my spirit.

Before starting this job, I had spent many years diligently using incorrect skincare and chemical skincare products.

My skin was really dull and had a really rough texture, so much so that I couldn't go out without foundation, and even when I was at home, I felt miserable every time I looked in the mirror.

Especially the rearview mirror of a car!

It's really cruel; no matter how cute an expression I try to make, it always ends up looking like an old woman's face.

My blemishes and enlarged pores were also emphasized, and I unconsciously compared them to the clear, smooth, egg-like skin of the children sleeping in the back seat, which made me feel disappointed.

"Is it okay to go outside with a face like this...? It's so embarrassing."

I've thought that so many times...

However, after realizing something, I decided to completely give up foundation.

Next time, I'd like to talk about such "changes in mindset and realizations."

Change your perspective and let go of preconceived notions.

But then I realized something.

The people you pass by are people you only meet once,

You won't be insulted or hurt by someone saying, "Your skin is dirty!"

Besides, people around me aren't as interested in my skin as I think, and in fact, they might not even be looking at it at all.

In fact, I might have been the one talking badly to myself and bullying myself.

and.

Since realizing this, I've gradually gotten used to going without foundation, and now at 57, living without foundation is completely normal for me.

Of course, even so, that doesn't mean there's absolutely no conflict.

Women always want to look beautiful, no matter how old they are!

However, I do feel that the results of our hard work are definitely showing.
