This is a series of posts I wrote in my email newsletter back in my mid-30s, titled "My Story of Graduating from Being a Cosmetics Gypsy," which I'm now republishing for my official blog.
What were the motivations behind the creation of Mirobina, and why did they end up with skincare products made from natural ingredients?
We will leave behind written materials to convey the background information that cannot be fully expressed on the product page alone.
All 15 episodes are being released sequentially.
I really want to be beautiful
To our regular subscribers,
For first-timers,
Hello.
This is Nonko, the shop manager of Bi-Natural (formerly Aromatic Life Magic Soap) (*This was the original name of this shop) (*^_^*)
Aromatic Life Magic Soap is a shop that opened in November 2003 with just one bar of soap, and we have been serializing the story of how that small shop came to be opened on Rakuten Market.
Why would you serialize something like that? That's a valid question, isn't it?
Actually, this all started when I attended a lecture at Rakuten Market, where we were given homework to thoroughly explore the question, "Why am I running my own shop?"
I see, so while soap was the initial trigger for opening my shop, my previous experiences were much more significant. So, I decided to continue the story of how I opened my shop, and in the process, I was also revisiting my own experiences.
I'm so happy with the great response I've received, including encouraging emails and various comments from customers, that I completely forget it's homework and write every day (^o^)
Last time, I was a cosmetics nomad, but this time, due to stress from divorce issues and other things, I developed a hellish case of atopic dermatitis.
After about two years, I met a doctor who practiced natural medicine, and on the advice of an acquaintance, I stopped using steroids. Gradually, the oozing dried up, and the large eczema lesions became smaller, but it didn't improve any further. Then one day,
●It froths up so fluffy it's almost comical.
● Your skin will feel clean and bright after washing.
●Huh??? But, ooh, it hurts! It stings!! Aaaaaaah!
I came across a wonderful soap.
It hurts, and when I look in the mirror, the areas that are inflamed with eczema are bright red.
But...
The areas without eczema are smooth and pure white.
I finally achieved the beautiful skin I've always wanted!
(Could this possibly be...?) With that premonition in mind, I endured the pain and continued washing, and gradually the pain subsided, and along with it, the redness on my face faded, and finally, my face was completely healed!
My body still had a long way to go, but not only did the eczema clear up, my skin became smoother than ever before, and my baby daughter started touching my cheeks all the time, as if to say how nice it felt.
This is the beautiful skin I've been longing for for so many years! Skin can really be this smooth!
Wow, I've never seen anything like this before, isn't this an amazing soap?!
Once I had sold 100 to my neighbors and friends, I received an offer to open a shop.
Yes, yes, I'll do it, please let me!
To be continued...!
